How many of you are contemplating about becoming a Christian but you believe that you are too young and there is too much to give up now in this world? You believe that Christianity is too confusing and you will never be able to make it as a Christian. You know that Jesus is real and you have not accepted him in your life, but you are so convinced that you are not following the devil as you had never killed anyone or had done anything outrageous. Who then are you really following? I often find this very amusing. Well I am here to tell you that you can only be either a follower of Jesus or a follower of the devil. If you had not accepted Jesus Christ in your life, you therefore now know where you stand.
Many of you deny Jesus without being aware of it. What do I mean? The devil has deceived you and has caused you to believe something that is not true.
For example, the devil has deceived you into believing that before you can start serving Christ, you have to enjoy all that the world has to offer while you are young. You now have been brainwashed into thinking that serving Christ is for later in life, but I am here to warn you that life is one thing that is never guaranteed to anyone. You may be here now reading this article but later today you could just be a memory in the minds of your friends and loved ones. Do not be deceived.
Many of you deny Jesus without being aware of it. What do I mean? The devil has deceived you and has caused you to believe something that is not true.
If you are ready to sincerely accept Jesus into your life as your personal savior, here are four steps that you should take.
Step 1
You first must understand what serving Christ means. Serving Christ means, turning your back on your sinful habits and humbly submitting yourself to the will of God. It will be impossible to live without committing a sin but if you hand over your life to Christ and trust him, it will be much easier to control yourself.
Step 2
When you have completed step 1 you will need to read this prayer through mentally in order to understand clearly what you will be saying. After you have done this, say it to Jesus only if you mean it. Jesus knows your heart so he will be sure to know if you said it sincerely or not.
“Lord Jesus I come before you as a sinner. I have been living a life that has been displeasing to you for too long now. I want you to come into my life and transform me into to a new individual. Teach me how to live a life that will please you for as long as I live. I dedicate my life towards worshiping you and I ask you to give me a heart like yours so that I can be like you. I acknowledge that I cannot survive without you, so I therefore ask that you be with me and guide me wherever I may go. Amen”
Step 3
Congratulations, you have now accepted Jesus into your life. It will be very challenging now to maintain this life as the devil is now angry with you and will do anything to get you back, but do not be worried as you are now in good hands. You will now need to get a bible and read it as often as you can. The bible is the manual for living a life that will please God. You should know your manual for yourself as these days in Christianity there is a lot of confusion. Do not be shocked my friend, people interpret the bible in their own ways and will seek to impose their own interpretation on you. But I remind you to know your manual for yourself and build a relationship with God. He will give you the understanding that you require.
Step 4
Find a church that believes in Christ and you feel comfortable at. At this church make a request to be baptized. This is a quick procedure that involves you being submerged under water for about 2 seconds. This is just a symbol to show the world that you now belong to Christ.
