Why did Jesus Die on The Cross For Us?

Jesus died so that we could be free today. Nobody can live a perfect life, so he created an avenue where we can be forgiven when we sin. Before he died people where living under a law. There were certain laws they must follow. When people broke them, they had to confess to a priest who would then take it to God. Jesus died so that this could be changed. Instead of going to a priest we can go directly to him and ask him for forgiveness. So now there is no law but we have grace.

Venture into the Unknown With Faith in God

One of the greatest obstacle that we face in following Christ is the fear of the unknown. We yearn to know in advance the outcome of our obedience and where He is taking us, yet we are given only the assurance that He is with us and that He is in Charge. And with that, we venture in the unknown with Him.

Many of us pray for things that we can easily do on our own. A very common situation is unemployment. Many of us are unemployed and are praying with expectation that God will somehow magically provide that dream job for us. That would be just awesome right? Well, let us not get our hopes up.  Do not get me wrong, I am not saying that this is an impossible task as nothing is too great for God, but I am sure that God will not be sacrificing his own time to search for a job on our behalf and hand it to us while we are at home every day watching TV, browsing facebook, sleeping, being merry and lazy. First of all, we need to make an effort by searching and applying for our own jobs then leave the rest to God. He will then determine which job is the most suitable for us. However, whenever we find ourselves in situations where we can no longer see any options, it is then time for us to have some radical faith. This is what God wants from us.
