Many times Christian men do not see the problems that could arise from certain things they do or fail to do. They then wonder what they could have possibly done wrong as their wives no longer appear as happy as they use to or they just give that very popular ‘silent treatment’. Most men will just immediately assume that she has found someone else or that he is no longer seen as attractive to her. But, here are the top 5 things that I think most Christian wives wish their husbands would do.
Spend more time at home. Many wives believe that their husbands spend more time at church than with their own families. This can be a great problem for many Christian relationships. I know it is good to be dedicated to church and all but dude, you cannot neglect your own family by being at church 24/7. You should always ensure that everything is in place at home first.
Initiate family devotions .Many men will never wake up early enough to carry out family devotions. Men are the head of the household and therefore, they have a responsibility to ensure that their families grow spiritually.
Groom with more style. It surprises me to see the little effort most men spend on their own appearance. The fact is that no woman would feel at ease going out with somebody who is still living in the 80s. Married couples should represent each other.
Be more romantic. Taking your wife to a camp or church retreat for your anniversary is not romantic. Be creative and impress your wife. Show her how charming you still are.
Be more helpful at home. Many men will just watch TV, eat and sleep but will never volunteer to help their wives at home. There are times when wives need to rest and have someone cater to them in return. As a husband, you could at least take an initiative to prepare dinner and surprise your wife. There are so much other little things you can do around the house that would show your wife how much you care and appreciate her.
